After updating bios blank screen

Members voluntarily assist or attempt to assist..their lives allow them to devote some of their time to this and all BC forums. Since you posted in the Crashes/BSOD forum, I suggest that you read the documentation on the main page of this forum, which is designed to give the personnel basic information which may assist them in assessing your situation. There are no quick fixes, and very few fixes that actually work.

I personally have worked on systems for weeks trying to fix black screen issues and have failed.

It is just showing me black screen with blinking cursor right after boot up.

As always, your help, time and effort is greatly appreciated folks!

()FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.

If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond.

I think this may just be an issue with your computer preferring the wrong boot drive.

Since the last few days whenever I start my laptop I see the Dell Inspiron logo with F2 & F12 in the bottom right corner and then it is black screen with blinking cursor.

Unplug everyperipheral device (external hard drives, printer, camera) except the monitor, mouse, and keyboard. In any case, hope this works and thank you to everyone on this forum for their suggestions and generous efforts to assist others with their computer problems.

Hey man, I don't know if you are still having trouble or not, but I had this issue after I reverted my PC from a W10/Hackintosh combination desktop.

It would help us if you would indicate if you have such a disk.

If you have the Win7 installation media, it may work - but you'll have to let us know what kind of disk it is (if it's an OEM disk or a version that you can boot to Startup Repair).

After having this problem for a week, I figured it was maybe because my computer is not as updated as it should be. So I went to the official. I also remembered reading that the BIOS update should restart automatically. My computer turned. However, the screen was black and blank. I've read a couple of.

So I've just updated the BIOS on my MSI H170. I thought everything went fine during the AMI BIOS update, but when the loading bar was at 100% my computer restarted with no screen output. I am now stuck with a USB that contains a new.c90 file to flash, but I can't get a display output to atleast know what.
